ABOUT THE CLUB

RBAA is a family friendly fishing club, that prides itself on inclusivity, responsible fishing and making learning fun. Adults, cadets and juniors all have a valued place within the club, we help each other out and are a real community.

Our members cover a wide and diverse range of anglers from beginners through to the more experienced and dedicated fisher.

We have regular club competitions and annual awards. These competitions are usually conducted over a weekend culminating in a Sunday afternoon weigh in & social gathering.

Competitions are held for inshore and offshore, with target species in each competition.  We also have a couple of social trips each year.

Fishing is fun and very social. It offers you the chance to improve your self-esteem through respect for the environment, mastering a skill and achieving personal goals. Fishing can also play an important role in developing personal and social skills.

SOCIAL TRIPS
Social trips are a great way to meet fellow club members, obtain some fishing tips from other members and
visit some magnificent locations throughout the Cooloola and Fraser Coasts and adjacent hinterland.

Some suggested locations for 2025 are K’gari (Fraser Island) Dundaburra or Waddy Point, Lake Monduran, Lake Borumba and Trinity Islands (Burrum Heads).

Email: rbaafishing@gmail.com with any suggestions
Weekend packages will include camping fees and barge transfers (if applicable).
